It’s also possible that greater kindness in the workplace can affect the bottom line through happier employees and more loyal customers. Intriguing questions that will be explored include: What gets in the way of more expressions of kindness? What steps can be taken to make your workplace a kinder and more rewarding environment? Where do we begin to change our work culture to make our employees happier and healthier?

Studies in medicine typically focus on what is true for the average person evaluated. This is true despite our knowing that each patient brings a unique history - a set of physiological, psychological, and social attributes that can impact medical outcomes.
